BPI signed a cooperation agreement with University of Balamand

Benta Pharma Industries (BPI) and the University of Balamand (UOB) signed a cooperation agreement in the field of therapeutic biotechnology to train and develop UOB students of the Faculty of Health Sciences.


Mr. Bernard Tannoury, CEO & Chairman of BPI and Dr. Nadim Karam, Dean of the Faculty of Health Sciences and Vice President for Health and Community relations signed the agreement at BPI headquarters in Dbayeh.


Mr. Tannoury said that BPI will put its facilities and equipment at the services of the students of UOB and will expose them to the various practical areas within the biotechnological and the pharmaceutical industry.


Mr. Tannoury stressed that BPI is a unique and advanced facility in the Arab world regarding the manufacturing of biological and therapeutic biotechnological products; especially that BPI acquired the best international quality certifications.


Dr. Karam emphasized the importance of the collaboration with BPI since it will provide UOB students with the scientific and practical trainings concerning the latest technologies in therapeutic Biotechnology in addition to developing mutual scientific research and cooperation.  


This academic agreement signed with BPI is the fourth of its kind; BPI already signed three agreements with the Lebanese University, the Lebanese American University and Beirut Arab University. BPI looks forward to fostering its relationships with universities in order to develop mutual biopharmaceutical research and studies.
