Under the Patronage of His Excellency the Lebanese minister of Public Health Mr. Ghassan Hasbany, the Lebanese Association for Hemophilia and Longwing Butterfly Association has launched the National Awareness Campaign for Hemophilia during a press conference that took place at the ministry of Public Health in partnership with Benta Pharma Industries.

H.E Mr. Hasbany emphasized on the aspects of the healthcare strategy and policies currently applied in Lebanon and the services provided by the ministry of Public Health to the Hemophilia patients.

The event that has introduced the Lebanese artist Ms. Marritta Hallani as this year's Goodwill Ambassador for Hemophilia awareness included testimonies from Hemophilia patients and a speech by the president of the Lebanese Society for Hemophilia Dr. Hanadi Samaha in presence of a large number of guests from the Lebanese Healthcare and political community.

Hemophilia is an inherited genetic non contagious bleeding disorder that affects the body’s ability to make blood clots, which is a process needed to stop bleeding.
