For the seventh consecutive year, BPI had exhibited at the Health Insight 7, the Arab Pharmaceutical and Food Supplements Business Development Congress which took place on the 11th and 12th of May 2017 in Lebanon.


Health Insight 7 had the theme of “Innovative Solutions and Beyond”, which provided a platform for communication for all the stakeholders in pharma industry in the region.


BPI was also actively present during the sessions that concurred with the congress; Dr. Marcel Bassil, Biotech Associate Director at BPI has addressed the topic “Single Use Technologies and their impact on Bio manufacturing” which tackled the flexibility of the single use systems for being a key player in the biopharmaceutical manufacturing capacity in addition to the single use technologies effectiveness in in reducing risk of contamination, faster changeovers, advantages over fixed stainless steel systems in cleaning and validation, and significantly reduced time, and costs to get a new facility up and running.


Also, Dr. Bertha Abou Zeid, Regulatory affairs Director at BPI and Board Member of the Syndicate of Pharmaceutical Industries in Lebanon was a panelist at the regulatory panel entitled “The Role of Regulatory authorities in MENA region in Facilitating the Exchange”.


This event was under the patronage of His Excellency General Michel Aoun, President of the Lebanese Republic represented by H.E Minister of Public Health Mr. Ghassan  Hasbani, and in strategic partnership with the Lebanese Ministry of Public Health, the Lebanese Pharmaceutical Importers Association, the Syndicate of Food Supplements and Natural Herbal Medicine Importers, the Lebanese Association of Pharmaceutical Industries and the Lebanese Group of International Research Based Pharmaceutical companies.
